Samsara is a documentary which portrays the production of modern food with an artistic approach. Without any dialogue whatsoever, the 6-minute video below will take you on a journey through cattle, pork, and poultry facilities, a grocery store, a fast food restaurant, and a private practice.

Samsara is not only a documentary about the food industry. The producers explained that this documentary is more about feelings and inner journey rather than an intellectual experience. They added that they aren’t trying to say anything.

According to the documentary’s website, in Sanskrit, samsara means ‘the ever turning wheel of life’. This documentary is a search for the elusive current of interconnection running through our lives. It was shot in 25 different countries for a period of 5 years. Their aim was to portray how our life cycle imitates the rhythm of the planet.
