What’s more, a study done at the University of Colorado Boulder showed that children who skipped napping had a bigger chance of experiencing lack of joy and interest, as well as anxiety and problems with their solving skills.
The same goes for adults. Researchers from the University of California, Berkeley found that adults who napped had a stronger memory and learning skills. It appears that napping has a positive influence on the brain because it allows it to refresh.
According to experts, the napping should last 10 to 20 minutes. Napping for a whole hour might cause feeling of blurriness and grogginess. This is because the body begins to sink into the deeper sleeping phases and when this is interrupted, you will feel more tired than you did before. The longest nap of 90 minutes should be practiced by people who cannot sleep well throughout the night.
All in all, napping is highly recommendable because it betters the creativity and thinking capacity.
