According to traditional Chinese medicine, the energy or chi moves through our bodies along meridians. According to acupressure and acupuncture, blockage or imbalance of the energy can cause health problems. In order for you to be healthy, these imbalances must be fixed.

Namely, each meridian is associated with different body organs and has pressure points. When stimulated, with acupressure or acupuncture, the blocked energy is released and the tension in the corresponding organ is successfully treated.

The Ice Cube Method

Moreover, placing an ice cube on a specific point on the neck can better the overall health, mood, and increase the level of energy. This area is known as Feng Fu or Wind Mansion and it’s located between the tendons, in the back of the neck, at the base of the skull and the top of the neck, near the hairline base.

How it is done

First, you need to lie on your stomach or sit, and then put an ice cube to the above-mentioned point. Hold it for 20 minutes or attach it with a bandage.

Repeat the method twice, in the morning and before going to bed. This practice will encourage the release of endorphin into the bloodstream and supply you with energy. The other benefits which this method provides are relief from arthritis pain, treatment of gastrointestinal problems, relief from headaches, toothaches, and joint ache, reduction of asthma symptoms, bettered quality of sleep, regulated breathing, treatment of frequent colds, management of thyroid disorders, and reduction of stress, depression, and fatigue.

Important to know:

Don’t perform the method if you’re pregnant, epileptic, if you suffer from schizophrenia, or if you have a pacemaker.
